- Little used. Other methods have taken over diagnosis.

NB: If X-ray is to be performed on passages of the small intestine this must be done with a probe. This is not offered at Unilabs' departments.

CT
- Not indicated

MRI
Not currently performed at all Unilab departments

- Occular blood in faeces after upper and lower GI tract is cleared
- With suspected blockages of the small intestine
- Mb. Crohn

Alternatively, the patient can be referred for capsule endoscopy.
